Sunflowers is an Outstanding OFSTED rated nursery offering a mix of private and funded, flexible childcare places for children aged 0-5 years old. We pride ourselves on the high quality of care that our vastly experienced staff team provide for the children at Sunflowers. Our staff take immense pride and pleasure in watching children flourish and they attend regular training and supervision to ensure they hold the most up to date practice, skills and knowledge, enabling unique support for each child, centred around their needs.
The Nursery promotes the curiosity approach as its ethos where children are supported to explore the natural world around bringing awe and wonder as we teach the children the importance of being unique. We support each child to develop skills and tools to be confident learners and adapt all our resources and activities to be centred around the child’s wellbeing and abilities. We have Team Members dedicated to identifying and supporting children with additional needs, supporting families to access relevant specialist services as appropriate.

Wheelchair Access - Yes
On arrival to our building, you will see parking bays available for off road parking and one appointed disabled bay with a slope path leading to the nursery entrance. All access doors are double and a ramp is available to be fitted when needed, once inside the building the nursey is on the lower level; the layout is wheelchair accessible. We have two disable friendly bathrooms; one within the nursery itself and the other on the lower level in the building.

Sunflowers Day Nursery supports children on an individual basis in accordance to the Day Care Standards and SEND code of practice using the Early Years Foundation Stage to allow children to become independent leaners through interest.
Dietary Needs - Yes
All nursery meals are planned and prepared using fresh produce and meals are cooked fresh each day in line with a four-week rota supporting a well-balanced diet. We work closely with parents to tailor menus to meet any needs around allergies, religious or cultural requirements.

At Sunflowers we feel it is important for children to celebrate and experience the world in which we live and give children opportunities to be enriched by new experiences through learning.
