At Northern Counties School we set out to make a difference to the learning, well-being and future life opportunities of children aged 4-19 who have a hearing impairment or visual impairment, those with profound multiple learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder.
We support children by providing education, therapy and care within a specialist communication environment. Teachers, therapists and special support assistants work together with families and external agencies to provide the best care and educational opportunities tailored to meet the individual needs of every pupil.
We encourage all parents to take an active part in their child’s education and to form a partnership with us to ensure their children achieve the best outcomes. We inspire all students to try hard, celebrate their successes and build positive relationships. Our approach means we can support all students to reach their potential and maximise progress, leading to enhanced life chances.
