Kids Planet Ettrick Grove has a homely child - centred atmosphere. Fully equipped with fun and educational resources allowing children to develop at their own pace. We are a fully inclusive nursery catering for all children’s needs, abilities, difficulties and background.
We have one qualified teacher with Early Years Teacher Status plus one practitioner with Early Years Professional Status. All of our team are all qualified to a minimum of level 3, however, 4 staff have level 4 and above qualifications.
We offer flexible day care catering for shift patterns, with an hourly, sessional and a day care rate. We have additional enhancement such as a sensory room and a holiday club catering for children up to 7 years old.
We have a large outdoor play environment offering a range of activities to children not only indoors but outdoors.
We are a multi award winning nursery, with an on-site cook who provides healthy meals daily and caters for all children’s nutritional needs.
We are able to provide NHS and sibling discount and parents are able to change sessions on a week to week basis.

The building has limited wheelchair access, there are some widened doors but no disabled toilets or ramps for the internal level changes.

We follow our 'Statement of Special Educational Needs' and the Code of Practice. We have also accommodated for children who have additional needs.
Dietary Needs - No
Currently cater for celiac disease, vegetarians, allergies and food dislikes and our chef makes herself aware of all special requirements that day. Any needs that we could not meet - we would ask parent

We currently include many different festivals & celebrations through our plans and activities, and positive multi-cultural displays and equipment.

We believe that we are able to support and accommodate children with difficulties similar to those stated above.
All children are supported dependant on their individual needs; therefore, some children require more support than others. The support your child will receive will be assessed on their needs and difficulties.
All activities, plans and topics in the nursery are based on the children’s interests. Every child receives an 'Individual Learning Journal' which states what the child has already achieved and a summative assessment every 6 months.
If your child requires help or support from other agencies, our nursery SENCo will work closely with you and will complete referral forms which will request their support.
