I have been a childminder since February 1994 (24 years) and I'm registered with Ofsted to look after babies and school age children. 

I drop off and pick up from John F. Kennedy Primary School, in central Washington.  The children in my care are mostly long term some of which have been in my care for 11 years, I look after children right through from babies to the start of comprehensive school.  I actively take children to play-parks, play areas, sea-side, museums, toddler groups and Sure Start Learning Centres. All of the children in my care are given as many learning experiences and adventures as possible, making for a fun time developing social and emotional skills.

I have completed Level 3 NCMA approved Quality First Assurance Award and index for inclusion. I have also completed CACHE Level 3 certificate in Childminding Practice (all 3 models ICP, DCP and ECP). I keep up to date with all required courses and qualifications. I offer a happy friendly place to be in a non smoking environment.  I also have the following qualifications: a current first aid certificate, up to date insurance, speech and language therapy training, child protection for childminders, introductory certificate in Special Needs with Early Years, Behaviour Management for Childminders, Fire Safety Awareness for Childminders, Birth to Three Foundation Stages of Development, Supporting Vulnerable Children and their Families, Listening to Children, Risk Assessment, Play for Under 2's and Health & Safety.

I have just completed an updated child protection/safeguarding course. I feel parents are the most significant people in a young child's life. I work in partnership with parent/carers, to support, encourage and maximize involvement in providing high quality, safe and stimulating care, learning and play opportunities for children.

The kitchen is beyond the porch with yet another door for added security for your children, leading into a large living area with comfortable seating area, my playroom is beyond at the back of the property, my conservatory which is the full width of the house offering lots of space for play and learning. Leading off the conservatory is a large back garden with is fully enclosed with high fences to ensure safety of children at all times. I offer lots of outdoor activities including mud kitchen, bikes, sand pit, water table, water wall, bubble cars, outdoor picnic area, tuff tray activities which change depending on the age of the children.
