What is the Local Offer

Houghall can also provide additional support for students with autism which is personalised and tailored around the needs of the individual via the Derwent unit.  This may involve an additional one day input for learners with help from NEAS to cover such issues as coping with autism or independent living.

Criteria for access EDC will consider applicants with a range of moderate to severe difficulties, and other young people who may require additional support for their learning.

Foundation Learning is designed to help young people with a learning difficulty or special training needs to become more confident and independent and prepare them for further study or work.

Some courses are general - individuals study a range of subjects based on their learning needs, and then decide which area they like the most.  Other courses are more specific to subject areas.

Full details of this setting's Local Offer can be found in their "Special Educational Needs Information Report" which can be found on their website.
