The Complex Behaviour Service (CBS) provides behavioural support to parents and carers of children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or a learning disability.
The CBS aims to deliver a 6 week collaborative intervention that will help empower families with information and support around a specific behaviour. This could include:
Home visits
School observations
Direct work with the child
Feedback visits
Advice, information, signposting and strategies
The success of the CBS intervention relies upon the commitment and motivation of parents and carers. Therefore, there is a requirement that parents and carers play an active role in the process, in order to affect behavioural change.
To make a referral, the CBS can be contacted via the Children with Disabilities Team.
